Jose Manalo is grieving the loss of his adorable cat named Cookie, he revealed on social media.

The “Eat Bulaga” host’s beloved fur baby died on Wednesday, June 18, some weeks before its third birthday this July 10.

In a poignant post, Jose shared a carousel of photos showing Cookie’s precious moments at home.

Along with the snaps, the comedian penned a heartfelt farewell message to his deceased pet. He expressed his gratitude to Cookie for the joy it brought into his and his family’s lives.

“Thank you, Cookie for making us happy!” Jose told his departed cat.

“Run free,” Jose added, expressing his sentiment that Cookie is now at peace and free from suffering.

Jose Manalo is a Filipino comedian and TV host. He is one of the regular hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

Jose is now married to Mergene "Gene" Maranan, a former member of the EB Babes. Mergene was part of the EB Babes from 2006 to 2020. The comedian was previously married to Anna Lyn Santos, who passed away in 2022. He and Anna Lyn were estranged and had four children together. Jose and Gene's dreamy wedding took place on December 17, 2024 at the Shangri-La Boracay Resort and Spa in Boracay.
