Priscilla Meirelles, the estranged wife of John Estrada, is a Brazilian model, host, actress, environmentalist, and beauty queen. In 2004, she won the Miss Earth title, the pageant night being held in the Philippines. She also became Miss Globe in 2003.
John Estrada, on the other hand, is a seasoned Filipino actor and model. He became a staple in Philippine television and cinema, known for his versatility in both comedic and dramatic roles. In his personal life, John was first married to actress Janice de Belen, with whom he has four children: Inah, Moira, Kaila, and Yuan. Their marriage was eventually annulled in 2004. He later married Brazilian beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles in 2011, and they have a daughter named Sammanta Anechka.
During her contract signing with Viva, Priscilla confirmed her separation from husband John Estrada. She revealed she found peace two years ago, but only made the decision public after much reflection, in a video shared by ABS-CBN. Respect and setting a good example for her daughter were key reasons behind her decision. She criticized societal double standards, saying women shouldn’t have to stay silent just because men “pay the bills.”
International beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles shared a heartfelt message praising her daughter, Anechka, for her impressive achievements, emphasizing her intelligence, dedication, and budding talents at a young age. Meirelles highlighted her role as Anechka’s “biggest cheerleader,” expressing profound pride in her daughter's hard work and integrity, and confidently stating that dedication will lead to success. Online admirers lauded Anechka’s diverse qualities, noting her intelligence, natural talent, academic dedication, and mature, responsible character, as highlighted by friends and followers.
