Accompanied by photos and video clips of the event, Maxene recounted the life lessons she shared with the young graduates, drawn from her personal journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery. “Yesterday, I was invited by KeyEd Learning Center to give a speech at their graduation ceremony for children between the ages of 4 and 15,” she wrote. “I shared with them some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my journey so far.”

Among those lessons were three key messages:

1. “Just be who you really are. You are allowed to be your true self. You don’t have to pretend to be someone you’re not just to please other people.”

2. “You are allowed to feel all your emotions. You can smile when you’re happy and cry when you’re sad. Feeling bad emotions doesn’t make you a bad person.”

3. “You are allowed to create the life of your dreams. Anything that you can think of and dream about—you can achieve. You just have to believe in yourself.”

Magalona’s message resonated deeply with both the students and their families, especially as she reminded them in the closing part of her speech that it’s okay to make mistakes, ask for help, take breaks, and change direction in life.

“Remember that it’s okay to make mistakes—that’s how we learn. It’s okay to ask for help—that’s how we grow. It’s okay to take breaks—that’s how we recharge. And it’s okay to change your mind about what you want to do with your life—that’s how we discover who we’re truly meant to be.”

She ended with an empowering note to the graduating class: “Class of 2025, you are ready for whatever comes next. Trust yourselves. Trust the process. Trust that you have everything you need inside you to create a life that is meaningful, joyful, and uniquely yours. You are our partners for the new Philippines. Let’s all work together in unity and faith to create a better tomorrow for all of us.”

Maxene expressed her gratitude to the school, saying, “Thank you KeyEd Learning Center for allowing me to plant seeds of positivity and hope in the hearts and minds of the children.”
