In a heartfelt Instagram post, Carlos recalled suffering a major basketball injury three years ago involving his ACL, MCL, and meniscus. “ACL, MCL meniscus injury ako dahil sinahod ako sa basketball,” he shared. “Hindi man lang nag-sorry, galit na galit si Misis gusto upakan! Sabi ko wag na Love bahala na si Lord.”
Carlos underwent surgery and battled complications afterward. During this time, he said he came to understand who his real support system was. “After my successful operation & complications that’s when I realized who my true friends & family are, at nag-iisa lang misis ko, Sarina Agassi,” he wrote.
The actor candidly spoke about the depression he experienced post-operation, which left him unable to walk, stand, or even go to the bathroom on his own. “Hindi nila sasabihin na depression is real,” Carlos admitted. “Sobrang depressing, ilang linggo ako naiyak at gusto ko nang mawala sa mundo.”

Throughout it all, Sarina was his rock — helping him both emotionally and physically. “Swerte ko sa misis ko, hulog ng langit at maraming salamat sa Diyos,” he said, describing how she even assisted him with his workouts while he was on crutches. “Si Mrs tiga-abot ng mabibigat na weights.”
Carlos ended his message with a powerful reminder about the value of relationships during hard times: “Sa lahat ng nakakabasa nito, malalaman nyo lang halaga nyo sa tao pag wala na silang makukuha sa’yo. Yung maiiwan, mahal ka talaga — bilang kaibigan, kapamilya, at ka-relasyon.”
His honesty and vulnerability earned praise from followers, with many expressing admiration for his resilience and for Sarina’s steadfast love and support.
