“TRIGGER WARNING: MENTAL DISORDER,” she began her lengthy message.
“In June 2022 I developed Panic Disorder & OCD, went into therapy and meds whilst practically disappearing from society for over a year. By June 2024, I had been on antidepressants (Zoloft - but not for depression) for 2 years. At the peak of my panic attacks, even slight hunger or a raised heart rate would trigger them—so I’d eat just to calm myself, and I stopped working out completely. I gained significant weight for the first time in my life, but I didn’t mind. Healing mattered more.”
When she resumed working in late 2024, Kelley revealed how some people’s remarks affected her.

“When I returned to work late last year, people said ‘Tumaba ka.’ I’d explain why—not to defend myself, but to remind them you never really know what someone’s going through, which is why I also decided to make this post.”
Addressing rumors that surrounded her during her time away from the spotlight, Kelley clarified:
“There were also rumors about me, a pregnancy, a third party, etc.—but none of it was/is true. I was simply dealing with a lot personally and within my family. It was one of the hardest times of my life. But I feel so much better now, and I’m deeply grateful to those who stood by me.”
She shared how she slowly worked her way back to health, both mentally and physically:
“Over the past year, I tried to return to the body I feel most confident in. Even with fasting, clean eating, and exercise, nothing really worked—until last Dec 11 (my birthday), when I cut my Zoloft dose in half. By Feb, I stopped completely (with my doctor’s guidance). It was scary to stop something I thought I was dependent on, but over the past few months, my body and mind finally began responding.”
Kelley credited intermittent fasting for much of her physical and mental improvement.
“Intermittent fasting (IF) has helped the most—probably 70%. It eased my bloating, balanced my energy, and helped me feel more like myself. The rest came down to mindful eating (less sugar and carbs - my weakness!) and excercise when I can.”
She also highlighted how she took a complete break from alcohol and caffeine:
“I cut out alcohol and caffeine for 3 years and followed my doctor’s advice closely. I’m not a doctor—just sharing what worked for me. Meds are there to support us, but we need to support ourselves too. And we should be aware of the potential side effects too (e.g. weight gain)”
Finally, Kelley ended her post with a gentle reminder to be more compassionate with our words:
“Lastly, be mindful when commenting on someone’s body. ‘Tumaba ka,’ ‘You should eat more’—I’ve heard it all. Say it with kindness, concern, care. Health is everything.”
