Yzabel succumbed to a lung infection and sudden cardiac arrest at age 20, leaving a profound impact on Mickey and his family.

In a poignant Facebook post, Mickey expressed the challenges he has faced since Yzabel's passing, describing his heart as a broken glass that can never be repaired. He acknowledged the ongoing struggle and the profound void left in his life, emphasizing that moving on is not an option in such a situation.
Despite the pain, Mickey chose to commemorate the 40th day with a celebration at home, engaging in praise and worship with their church pastor, highlighting their Christian faith and finding solace in God during this challenging time.
He concluded his post with a poignant message to his late daughter, expressing his prayer to get into heaven in the future to be with Yzabel again.

Yzabel Ablan was the eldest child of Mickey Ablan, the current partner of actress Janna Dominguez. Janna is best known for her role in "Pepito Manaloto" on GMA. Janna made the sad announcement concerning the passing of Yzabel in an Instagram post.
In a heart-wrenching IG post, Janna shared details about the sudden passing of Yzabel. The post revealed that Yzabel succumbed to a sudden heart failure and lung infection. Yzabel was at her condominium in Manila when she began experiencing severe breathing difficulties, with her caregiver, Yaya Lyn, by her side. Ate Lyn promptly contacted the family, who rushed to her side in Manila. Despite multiple attempts to revive her, Yzabel's life could not be saved.
Janna also shared a heartbreaking photo of her youngest baby, alongside that of her stepdaughter, Yzabel Ablan at the latter's wake. She revealed that her youngest was born on the day that Yzabel joined the Creator. Janna's youngest was named Michael Zab Leon Ablan III, and he was born on Oct. 7, 2023.
