Yasmien Kurdi took to social media to share a deeply personal update about her mother, Miriam Ong-Yuson.

According to Yasmien, her mom Miriam underwent hemodialysis at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) in Quezon City.

However, Miriam still needs to undergo a kidney transplant and is currently waiting for a donor.

Furthermore, Yasmien shared photos of her and her mother at the hospital, along with the dedicated team of doctors and nurses caring for Miriam during her dialysis. The actress expressed her gratitude to the medical professionals who have been tirelessly caring for her mother.

Yasmien Kurdi is a Filipina actress, singer-songwriter, and commercial model. She rose to popularity after joining and being the 1st runner-up on the first season of Starstruck, a reality-based talent search show by GMA Network. She graduated with Latin honors in AB Political Science from Arellano University. She is married to a pilot and they have one daughter.

In a previous report, Rey Soldevilla, the husband of Yasmien, made a witty comment on the post of his wife, wherein the actress was asking if it is true that if the groom would cry during the wedding, then there is a higher chance of separation. Yasmien was also the one who replied in the comments and said that she was thankful that her pangga did not cry.

She also took to Facebook and asked about the connection between males who cry during marriage and an eventual separation. She asked if it is true that if a man would cry in his wedding, there's a higher chance of breaking up. The Kapuso actress then commented on her own post and was thankful that her husband did not cry during the wedding.
