Netizens are speculating that the multi-awarded actor who will be officially launched by GMA Network as its own artist on Tuesday, November 9, is none other than John Lloyd Cruz.

The actor took an indefinite leave of absence from his home network, ABS-CBN, way back in 2017 and has never returned since.
Later on, Lloydie joined the newly-formed artist management outfit of Maja Salvador, Crown Artist Management.
There was no word as to whether he got out of Star Magic, though by joining Crown, many assumed he did.

His being under Crown further fueled speculation that JLC would not be returning to ABS-CBN.
In summer of this year, rumors floated that JLC was into talks with GMA executives about a possible contract with the network.
It didn’t materialize, however, and rumors indicate that it has something to do about the talent fee.
His on-screen partner, Bea Alonzo, on the other hand, surprised everyone by signing a contract GMA Network in July of this year.
In a video released by GMA, Bea even teased JLC to be with her after she signed the contract.
Whether or not netizens’ speculations are true, everything is set to be revealed on November 9.
John Lloyd Espidol Cruz, is a Pinoy actor, occasional TV host, and model. He was born on June 24, 1983 in Pasay City, Philippines. JLC is an alumnus of Star Magic’s Batch 5. He is now under Crown Artist Management. The actor is famous for his movie roles in One More Chance, A Very Special Love, Now That I Have You, and many more. JLC is also known for his roles in TV soaps like Maging Sino Ka Man, Imortal, I Love Betty La Fea, and It Might Be you. He has collaborated with several actresses in various movie and TV soaps, including Bea Alonzo, Sarah Geronimo, Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, and Kaye Abad. He has several awards under his belt.
Recently, a throwback video of Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz surfaced online revealed how gentlemanly and protective the actor is toward women. The video, which appeared to be a live media conference for the TV series Imortal, showed Lloydie and Angel sitting on a couch while being interviewed by the media. As the press conference progresses, JLC can be seen trying to cover the lower portion of the legs of Angel as her short skirt might have been exposing areas that shouldn’t be spotted in public. Near the end of the video, Lloydie also stood in front of Angel before the actress gets off the couch to shield her, and any of her private parts, from being seen by those in front of them.
John Lloyd is also among the top four notable leading men of Angel Locsin. In an interview with Celeste Tuviera, the actress was asked about Dennis Trillo, Richard Gutierrez, Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz. When she finally talked about Lloydie, Angel said that he is "napakagaling," highlighting Lloydie's professionalism. The actress then said that JLC can execute very difficult scenes in just one take, which was why there was a time that she was not even acknowledged by Lloydie because he was preparing for a scene.
