Albert Martinez broke his silence on the alleged romantic link with co-star Faith Da Silva.

The young actress is the daughter of incarcerated former actor Dennis Da Silva.
According to Albert, the issue between him and Faith began as a blind item.
He said that eventually, his name and that of Faith’s surfaced, courtesy of Internet investigators who he said appeared eager to ‘make mountains out of a molehill.’

The actor, however, said that he’s not bothered by the rumors.
For him, it’s all show business.
“I’ve been in the industry since 1981 as you know so I’ve heard it all before. Been there, done that. It’s okay. I’m not bothered,” Albert said.
The romantic link talks became stronger when both Faith and Albert kept mum about it.
When asked if there is any truth to the rumors, Albert said the rumors are helping their upcoming TV series, “Las Hermanas.”
“It was my intention to make our characterization for the show believable and I think the speculation helped. It made the whole thing look and feel real. Nakatulong sa show I think, sa process namin so, not bad at all,” the multi-awarded actor said.
The actor was also asked if he is open to finding a new romance at this point of his life. He said that he’s still going through a process.
“You know, I lost a loved one. But if I meet someone in the future that will make my heart beat again, why not? But now I’m just enjoying my kids, my grandchildren, and work,” Albert said.
The actor lost his wife, Liezl, to cancer on March 14, 2015.
Alberto Pineda Martinez, more popularly known as Albert Martinez, is a Pinoy actor, director, and producer. He was born on April 19, 1963 to 1960s character actor Bert Martinez and margarita Pineda in Manila, Philippines. Albert married Liezl Sumilang in 1985 and the two stayed happily married until Liezl’s death in 2015. Liezl is a former child actress, though focused on being a wife and mother when she and Albert got married and had children. For his part, Albert, throughout his career as an actor, have won several awards including Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
Lolit Solis took to Instagram and shared her thoughts about rumors concerning Faith da Silva and Albert Martinez. The veteran columnist said that it is not surprising if Faith da Silva falls for Albert Martinez. She then said that Albert is very stable and he is even more "papable" than other younger stars. She also added that Faith might not just have been starstruck as she could possibly be in love.
Faith Da Silva was a guest of Boobay and Tekla and questions about the real score between her and Albert Martinez arose. The 20-year-old actress did not deny nor confirm whether or not there is something going on between her and the veteran actor. She said that her relationship with Albert is quite different as they are simply comfortable with each other. The actress also said that she is happy that she came to know him on a deeper level and that he's there to support and guide her.
