Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has set the internet ablaze after returning to his home country and dropping bombshell allegations about his time behind bars in the Philippines. In a raw and revealing livestream interview with popular streamer Adin Ross on Friday, January 23, the controversial figure did not hold back in describing what he called "inhumane" treatment and widespread corruption inside the detention facility.

Zdorovetskiy, who spent nearly 10 months in custody, claimed that his first three months were spent in total isolation. He described the environment as a nightmare of unsanitary conditions and overcrowding, where temperatures would soar to a stifling 35 degrees Celsius. According to the vlogger, the lack of proper ventilation forced detainees to use buckets of water just to keep their bodies cool during the peak of the heat.
The allegations grew even more serious as he discussed his interactions with jail staff. Zdorovetskiy claimed that basic human needs, such as drinking water and hygiene products, were often withheld by guards. “Access to necessities depended on the discretion of jail guards,” he alleged, even claiming he once had to pretend to faint just to get medical attention or a drink of water.
Perhaps the most damaging part of his interview was the claim that he successfully bypassed security for months. “I had a phone the whole time in jail. I vlogged the whole experience, and I’m going to expose the corruption,” Zdorovetskiy told his viewers. He alleged that prohibited items like mobile phones were easily accessible to those willing to pay off the guards, adding that “It’s just corruption, but you pay the guard. You’re good to go.”

Beyond the daily struggle for comfort, the vlogger spoke about the "jail politics" he witnessed, where money and legal resources dictated a prisoner's quality of life. He noted that many foreign nationals remained stuck in the system for years over minor issues because they couldn't afford a lawyer or the alleged fees required for "favorable treatment."
Despite the harrowing stories of his confinement, Zdorovetskiy insisted that the experience had a positive impact on his character. He claimed to have spent his time reading business books and reflecting on his life choices, which he says made him more disciplined. “I spent 10 months in jail. I am who I am. I read so many business books. I got so much smarter,” he said during the broadcast.
Vitaly Zdorovetskiy first rose to global fame as a YouTube prankster known for high-stakes stunts and public disruptions, often resulting in his arrest in various countries. His Philippine legal troubles began on April 3, 2025, when he was arrested in Pasay City. He was declared an "undesirable foreign national" following a series of controversial livestreams where he was accused of harassing local residents and security personnel for content. After serving his time and facing charges of theft and disturbing the peace, he was officially deported to Russia on January 17, 2026.
As these claims continue to circulate online, the transition from his personal account to official reports shows that this is not the first time his detention has sparked controversy.
The initial reports of Zdorovetskiy's ordeal highlighted the specific grievances he had with the Bureau of Immigration's facilities. He detailed the lack of medical support and the psychological toll of being isolated from the outside world during the early months of his arrest.
In a major development following the vlogger's claims, several high-ranking immigration officials were reportedly removed from their posts. This action was taken after evidence surfaced that Zdorovetskiy had indeed been filming content while inside the facility, confirming some of his claims about security lapses.
