Atong Ang finally addresses claim that he & Gretchen Barretto are in a relationship

Atong Ang, a wealthy businessman in the Philippines, finally revealed the truth about the speculation that he and Gretchen Barretto are in a relationship.

KAMI learned that the rumor sparked after Marjorie Barretto bravely declared on national TV that the said business tycoon is the “powerful boyfriend” of her sister.

A “sweet” and controversial photo of the two famous personalities while inside a plane also circulated and made a lot of noise in the online world.

During his interview with Noli de Castro of ABS-CBN News, Atong was asked about the real score between him and the gorgeous actress.

He stated that he met the celebrity because Nicole Barretto would always invite him to their family gatherings or special occasions.

The gentleman also mentioned that he became the business partner of Tonyboy Cojuangco and they always go to different places together.

“Unang-una, walang agawan dahil hindi naman kami ni Gretchen. Nakikita ng tao na kumakain kami sa labas nila Tony, sama-sama naman kami. Nagta-travel kami sa abroad kasi mahilig nga akong kumain…” he quipped.

“Kung ang sinasabi nila, kapareho ni Marjorie, na girlfriend ko si Gretchen, conclusion nila yun… Si Gretchen kasi very close talaga sa akin. Parang kapatid ko talaga yan,” he added.

When it comes to the speculation that he and Gretchen always hold each other’s hand, Atong claimed that it was just him being a gentleman to the actress.

He also claimed that the common-law partner of the celebrity knows how close they are since they often have bondings even inside their house.

“Wala (reaksyon ni Tonyboy). Alam naman niya lahat ang nangyayari…” he stressed.

“Alam niya lahat. Nagkikita kami, nagpupunta ako sa bahay niya, kumakain kami lagi sa labas,” he added.
