Amy Perez, or Tyang Amy, could not help but feel emotional during It's Showtime's latest episode.

During the show's 'Tawag ng Tanghalan' segment, Vice Ganda could not help but ask Amy about what it feels like to let go of a child.

Vice asked.

The question, however, has immediately made Amy tear up, "Grabe yan, tinatanong mo pa lang naiiyak na ako, nanginginig na yung boses ko."

According to Amy, when her eldest son, Adi decided to start living independently, it shocked her at the beginning.

"Nung una talaga, nagulat ako. Kasi parang syempre, as a mother, gusto mo na you can keep all your children na kasama mo sila.

Never ko yun na-imagine."

However, despite feeling shocked and sad about it, Amy understood why it is important for parents to let go of their children.
