Alessandra de Rossi recently posted on Twitter that the rising COVID cases in the country is becoming really frightening and so she would need to jog at night.
Many believe the post of Alessandra is a direct jab at the recent photos of President Duterte, which were uploaded by Sen. Bong Go, showing him doing various activities during nighttime.
These include jogging at night, playing golf, and riding a big trike on Malacañang grounds. The photos drew mixed reactions from the online community.
It was not clear what was the intention of Alessandra when she published her post on Twitter.
“12,674 new cases. Nakakatakot. Kailangan kong mag-jogging mamayang gabi,” her Twitter post on April 10 read. It was lower by 1K the following day.
Whether the actress will keep her word of jogging at night or dismiss it as a nuisance largely remains to be seen.
What is very clear now is that COVID cases in the country keep on rising every day and not just in four-digit numbers but more than that.

The COVID-19 pandemic infected millions of individuals living in different parts of the world, including the Philippines. The first case in the Philippines was identified on January 30, 2020 and involved a 38-year-old Chinese woman who was confined at San Lazaro Hospital in Metro Manila. On February 1, a posthumous test result from a 44-year-old Chinese man turned out positive for the virus, making the Philippines the first country outside China to record a confirmed death from the disease. After more than a month without recording any cases, the Philippines confirmed its first local transmission on March 7, 2020. Since then, the virus has spread with at least one case being recorded in the country's 81 provinces.
