Even Caintic was also disconnected for more than a minute while he was speaking.

Due to the circumstances, Roque informed NTC that the disconnections would be included in his report to the president.

“Sa aking report po sa Presidente sa Lunes sasabihin ko po ang nangyari on the day we rendered a report on the telcos—na nawalan po kami ng connection sa lahat,” he said.

The spokesperson also asked Caintic what the solution to the internet connection problem in the country could be.

“More towers, more fiber cables, and better customer service.” The DITC undersecretary responded.
“It takes time to build (cell towers) but we help them build by making our regulations easy, firm, and faster,” he added.

According to Roque, he will talk to President Rodrigo Duterte about the issue with NTC and DITC’s recommendations on how the telco services in the country will be improved.

Roque ended the briefing by assuring that the president will make sure that by the end of his term, there will better internet connection in the Philippines.

It can be remembered that Pres. Duterte warned the telco firms in the Philippines, namely Globe Telecom and PLDT Smart, to improve their services.

Based on the previous report of the NTC, Roque assured that the internet connection in the country is improving. However, there are many who doubt this.
