Topnotcher in 2011 nursing boards tops again in 2020 Physician Licensure Exam

- Jomel Garcia Lapides, who topped the 2011 Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE) has recently become a two-time board topnotcher

- Lapides, a graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila, ranked first anew in the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE)

- According to the results, a total of 3,538 out of 4,704 exam takers passed the November 2020 PLE

- Cebu Institute of Medicine furthermore has claimed the top-performing school place with 100% passing rate

Jomel Garcia Lapides has become a two-time board topnotcher after he ranked first anew in the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE).

Lapides, a graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila, also topped the Nursing Licensure Exam with a rating of 88.4% back in July 2011.

According to the results of this year’s PLE released on Thursday, November 26, Lapides got an 88.67% rating, followed by Patrick Joseph Amunategui Magubat from the University of Saint La Salle and Adrian Emmanuel Diago Teves from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) who are both at the second place spot with 88.58% rating respectively.

The Philippine Professional Regulation Commission likewise announced that a total of 3,538 out of 4,704 passed the November 2020 PLE.

Meanwhile, Cebu Institute of Medicine has claimed the top-performing school place with its 100% passing rate after all its 138 examinees passed.

The Philippine Professional Regulation Commission is a licensed profession regulating agency in the Philippines. The commission has a well-established online system that makes it easy for PRC registration.

Citizens can now apply for board examinations, initial registration for the issuance of licenses and renewals via the database. The online platform is popularly known by the acronym LERIS, which stands for Licensure Examination and Registration Information System. It is now complete and functional.
