A netizen took to Facebook to warn everyone of a new modus that has come to his attention.
Serafin Aspilla Molina posted a warning on Facebook, telling everyone to cut the middle of disposable face masks, as well as the earloops before disposing them because of alelgedly a recycling modus.
He said that a junkshop would buy used disposable face masks for as long as they're intact and whole.
The unnamed junkshop would then recycle the masks and would resell them.

Sa mga gumagamit ng disposable facemask pakigupit sa gitna ang mask at gupitin din yung kinakabit sa tenga bago nio idispose may bago na namang umuusbong na industriya ng recycled facemask juicekopo! may bumibili na junkshop basta buo sya.."
Many netizens expressed their dismay over the said "modus." The post was shared more than 60,000 times and the hashtag #sirainmofacemaskmobagoitapon was used in the post.
