Former ANC news anchor goes live, claims Chinese-owned network will replace ABS-CBN

- Waldy Carbonell, former news anchor of ABS-CBN and Iraq war correspondent made astounding revelations on Facebook live and broadcasted live over a radio network

- Carbonell alleged that a Chinese-owned broadcasting media company called Dragon Broadcasting Network will be replacing the Kapamilya network

- He also claimed that he was approached by the said network to be the editor-in-chief of the news department because of his qualifications

- Carbonell also alleged that he was not surprised at the result of the voting in Congress because it has already been decided months before the said "voting"

Waldy Carbonell, a veteran journalist, former news anchor of ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC), and an Iraq war correspondent, went live on FB on Sunday, July 13, simultaneously over another radio station, and made claims that a newly-setup Chinese-owned broadcasting network called Dragon Broadcasting Network will be replacing ABS-CBN.

He also said on his Facebook live that being a veteran journalist, a dean, and an experienced writer, he was approached and offered to be the editor-in-chief of the news department of the said network.

He also claimed that the results of the voting in Congress on the franchise renewal was already a "done deal" months before the actual voting, which was why he was not surprised at how it turned out.
