A passenger in Palm Springs California has shared a heart-warming story about her Uber ride going to the airport.
KAMI learned that the ride became emotional when the driver started sharing his life story.
In a post by the Facebook page Mama Bear Bliss, Erin decided to sit in the front seat and the driver, John, was not expecting it.
John asked the age of Erin, he guessed she was about 28, but she said she is 27 years old.
Later on, John shared a story about his daughter. He had a 29-year-old daughter who passed away and left a 4-year-old son.
“He told me I reminded him of her, we shared the same kind heart and that’s why he asked,” Erin shared.
“He couldn’t resuscitate her. He tried to breathe life into his daughter’s lifeless body. But he found her far too late,” she added.
Within the 25-minute drive, they were both able to share their lives. John was overwhelmed by the uncanny similarity of his deceased daughter from his passenger, both have a kind heart.
“I have never met someone so kind-hearted, so friendly, and so non-judge mental. I felt like I lifted so many years of feelings off my chest - to someone I didn’t even know, but was willing to listen. Tell me I was going to be ok. Someone to console with me. I wish I could hug you, but I know so many people who don’t like hugs. So I just want to tell you thank you,” John said.
When they arrived at the airport, John took out the luggage of Erin. However, she could no longer contain her emotions.
“I love hugs. I will happily take a hug, John,” she said.
Before leaving, Erin decided to take a photo with John so she could share the unforgettable memory she had with him.
“Be a kind human. Always. Show compassion, have a listening ear, ask someone about their day, smile at strangers, say hi in the grocery store, show small acts of kindness throughout your life, start up a conversation with your Uber driver. It may mean more to them and help them more than you could ever imagine,” she said.
