Davao City Mayor and presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte got a new haircut after the election. The upcoming president went home to Davao to work on his transition team.
In a photo from GMA News clearly showed that the Duterte opted for a shorter and cleaner trim on the side. It was revealed that the Davao City Mayor and his team of stylists are prepping for the inauguration of the presumptive president.
Meanwhile, Duterte left the city for his hometown in the south after the polls. However, the presumptive president is not in the province to rest, but to continue working on how to smoothly transition the entry of new administration to the current PNoy’s administration.
Duterte revealed his administration’s 8-point economic plan, including amending parts of the Constitution, especially on foreign investments. The Constitution currently restricts foreign ownership to 40 percent of certain businesses.
Even during his campaign, Duterte championed the revision of the Philippine Constitution through a Constitutional Convention. This is different from the constitutional assembly proposed by Congress years ago.
Moreover, Duterte will reportedly lift the moratorium over death penalty and revive it as a form of punishment, according to a source close to the mayor.
While the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) clapped on Duterte’s con-con, it will surely frown on the revival of death penalty.
