- Light earthquakes were felt in Cebu and Bohol earlier today at dawn
- As per Phivolcs, Cebu had a 3.3 magnitude while Bohol had a magnitude of 1.5
- Further, no aftershocks had been recorded after the tremors
Earthquakes had been hitting several areas across the country recently and Visayas regions were no exceptions from the tremors with two recorded ones today Monday, November 4.
Earlier today at dawn, light ground-shaking were felt in Bohol and Cebu areas.
As reported by Earthquake Information Bulletin of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or (Phivolcs), a magnitude 3.3 earthquake was felt in Bohol around 4:48 a.m.
The epicenter was near Catigbian town of the said province and the ground-shaking was revealed to be tectonic in origin.
After that incident, another tremor was felt later in midwest of Cebu City at 5:43 a.m. The other tectonic earthquake in the Visayas region was recorded at 1.5 magnitude.
The Phivolcs bulletin also indicated that there were no aftershocks recorded nor damages that may be expected from the light earthquakes felt from the two provinces.
The public is still encouraged to always be prepared for unexpected incidents and in-the-know for any related information for safety purposes.
Moreover, a series of earthquakes were also recorded from the Mindanao region and the strongest magnitude recorded was at 3.8 in Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.
