As Filipinos, being very traditional in our culture, it had always been a practice to reminisce departed loved ones during All Soul’s Day.
In a report by PUSH, this season, Pinoy celebrities ponder over who they miss the most among precious ones in the afterlife.
Melai Cantiveros shares that she misses her grandfather and grandmother from Gensan. But since they are far away from her original hometown at the moment, they would offer lighted candles here instead.
Karla Estrada is also away from the burial site of her loved ones from Tacloban so they stay at home and offer prayers to their family members who passed away during All Soul’s Day.
McCoy De Leon said that this season, he remembers his grandfather from his dad’s side who treated him as the favorite grandchild. According to him, this time of the year is also somewhat a reunion of their extended family because everyone will be present to remember their departed family members.
Ako yung first apo niya.
Jolina Magdangal recollects her experience visiting the tombs of her loved ones from the cemetery especially her grandmother who’s the most recent family member who passed away.
Pero hindi namin nakakalimutan na either before or after kami pupunta.
Melai Cantiveros, Karla Estrada, and Jolina Magdangal are hosts of ABS-CBN’s morning show – Magandang Buhay.
McCoy De Leon is an actor and dancer. He is also a member of the #Hashtags dance group on It’s Showtime.
