Mall janitor arrested after victimizing tenants in a robbery in Cebu City

- The suspect claimed that he did the crime because he is in need of money for the hospitalization of his two sick children

The mall janitor of Gaisano Grand Mall was arrested after allegedly robbing its own tenants. Officers of Balamban Police Station were sent earlier today to investigate the robbery incident at the said mall in the municipality of Balamban in Cebu on October 28, Monday.
In a report by Alven Timtim and Paul Lauro of Cebu Daily News (CDN), a netizen who caught evidences of the incident, sent photos to CDN that showed the victimizing of the mall’s tenants.
The images exposed the unidentified suspect robbing a money changer shop and some food stalls that were having their regular operating hours inside the mall.
According to the Balamban police station's chief —Police Major Christian Torres, a mall tenant also visited their precinct around 12:30 PM earlier today to report about the robbery.
Immediately, he sent his policemen to investigate the situation in Gaisano Grand Mall.

After retrieving several CCTV footage as crucial evidence, they were able to identify the suspect of the robbery – Molin Secretaria, who claimed that he was only able to commit the crime because he is in dire need of money for the hospitalization of his twins who are both suffering from fever.
The suspect robbed around Php 80,000 worth of cash from a total of 13 mall tenants.
