A netizen has shared a touching of a boy with Down syndrome.
KAMI learned that Laylay has been volunteering in Super Metro Naga.
In a Facebook post by netizen Candice Grace Cabras Maque, Laylay would always offer to help the customers in the grocery store.
A video showed how Laylay was enjoying as he packed the groceries.
“He is always of help. Sometimes he volunteers to bring my things, pack my groceries and push my cart,” Candice said.
“It feels good to be with him. His calmness, smile and great customer service are incomparable,” she added.
However, the netizen called for the employment of Laylay.
“In as much as I am thankful to the store for allowing him to volunteer, I would be more happy to know if he EARNS as well. I was told that some customers gave him money and he would buy food to be shared with his family when he goes home,” she wrote.
“People with Down Syndrome are employable. They CAN work independently if GIVEN the CHANCE,” Candice added.
The netizen also urged other companies to accept persons with disabilities or Down syndrome, most especially if they are capable of doing the job properly.
