Leren Mae Bautista was crowned as the 2nd runner up of Miss Globe 2019 in Ulcinj, Montenegro early Tuesday (Philippine time).
In the question and answer segment of the competition, she confidently answered how she’s going to use her title to benefit others inspired by Mother Teresa's values.
“If I will win Miss Globe 2019, I will use this platform to raise awareness on how to protect our planet. We could start within ourselves. We could start with small things, by volunteering in our communities by picking up trash and putting it in the right bin, and by conserving our water. Because I believe that Mother Teresa once said, 'Not all of us can do great things, but all of us can do small things with great love.”
Though it’s not her first time to win her own title because she was crowned as Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International four years ago, still the Laguna native was a hopeful to be the next Miss Globe titleholder after Anne Lorraine Colis back in 2015.
It was the Alejandra Diaz De Leon Soler, representative of Mexico who Yu Yizhou of China, Miss Globe 2018 passed her crown to.
Followed by Carla Jean Lares of Trinidad and Tobago as first runner up. Then Shauna Griffiths of Canada and Kristýna Malírová of Czech Republic as 3rd runner up and 4th runner up respectively.
