Mariel Rodriguez shared a vlog on her channel that talked about her procedures to prevent miscarriages. In the video, she showcased how a day in her life looks like including the several injections which she endures to protect the baby in her womb.
The It’s Showtime host explained that according to her obstetrician-gynecologist (ob-gyn), she is an antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS) patient, that’s why she had experienced complications in her past pregnancy which resulted to her miscarriages.
Her past experience is still an emotional trigger for her which is why she makes sure that she’s very careful about her recent pregnancy to avoid the tragedy of losing her and Robin’s baby.
The actress shared on her vlog that she has two injections of Heparin on a daily basis that makes her blood thinner in order to avoid blood clots and prevent miscarriage. Aside from that, she takes several medicines from breakfast to dinner.
Her husband Robin Padilla is very supportive of her delicate pregnancy. He even helps Mariel in injecting Heparin and the couple relies on each other for the care of their baby.
Since Mariel uses a lot of injections, the two also are very cautious about how they dispose of the needles in order not to do harm to garbage collectors.
