Samantha Ashley Lo finally shared her statement regarding what she went through on the recent headlines about her alleged carrying of a fake passport which resulted in her deportation from Paris.
The inconvenience caused by this to her was so great to the point that it had been a very traumatic experience in the past few days and she has kept her silence until she was able to arrive in the country host of the beauty pageant competition.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) released an official statement but the beauty queen chose to keep her silence until she was able to arrive in Venezuela.
She wrote on her Instagram, “I chose to break my silence until I arrived in Venezuela because I wanted to make sure I got here safely. Despite what happened last week and the trauma that came with it, I have moved forward and pursued this journey knowing that I did not intentionally commit any of the acts that have been unfairly attributed to me.”
She was supposedly scheduled to arrive right on time for the Miss Grand International pre-pageant activities but apparently, her local organizer was not able to give her proper travel documents.
“But yes, my local organizer, who handled my travel preparations, failed to equip me with the proper transit visa that may have enabled me to complete my earlier trip to this host country,” she explained.
The Miss Grand International Philippine representative also mentioned that she’s not just representing her own country but also those people who experienced the same traumatic situations like her from the past few days.
“I have come here not only as the candidate from the Philippines but as the voice of those who have faced similar situations like mine, the voice of those who have been abandoned of opportunity and pressured to remain silent.”
The Binibining Pilipinas beauty queen is vry courageous to bring home the crown.
