Rumours have been going around about Pambansang Bae Alden Richards and Kapuso leading man Juancho Trivino who are said to be not in good terms, probably due to a conflict in college.
The two Kapuso stars are said to be cold towards each others and may have actually started when they were college classmates at La Salle-Canlubang in Laguna.
In the grand press conference for the upcoming Kapuso afternoon primetime show Magkaibang Mundo, Juancho denied the rumours and explained that the two of them just belong to a different set of friends.
“Wala naman, magkaiba lang talaga yung group of friends naming,” Juancho said.
“Kasi ako noong college ako, kasama ko ang mga varsity [players] kasi varsity ako nung college. Tapos siya, kasama rin niya ang mga barkada niya,” he added, “Hindi rin talaga kami masyadong naging sobrang close.”
Though they did not become close friends, Juancho said that he actually sees Alden in the campus and that they were actually classmates.
“Pero magkakilala kami kasi classmates kami, batian lang. Magka-batch kami, same course,” he said.
When asked whether the two of them got involved in bullying, Juancho clarified that their group’s very different interests may have been seen by others as a rift.
“Siguro hindi lang talaga magkasundo yung barkada namin that time,” explained Juancho.
“Yung mga barkada ko kasi magugulo, mababait lang yung barkada niya, palaaral,” he added.
Juancho Trivino takes on the lead role in Magkaibang Mundo, opposite Louise delso Reyes. The show will start to air on Monday, May 16, after the noontime show Eat Bulaga!.
On his part, Alden Richards is busy shooting in Italy with his loveteam, Kalyeserye sweetheart Maine Mendoza, for their upcoming film, temporarily entitled “Imagine You and Me.”
The film of the breakthrough stars of 2015 is set to be released in time for their first anniversary as a love team.
