- ‘Pork barrel scam’ star witness Benhur Luy claimed that Sen. Bong Revilla is “kind”
- He was given the chance to explain his statement before the Sandiganbayan court
- Luy said that Revilla allowed him to pay his kickbacks on an installment basis
Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or “pork barrel” scam star witness Benhur Luy has given his testimony before the Sandiganbayan First Division on the graft cases of Sen. Bong Revilla Jr. on Thursday.
KAMI learned that Luy referred to Revilla as “kind” and he was asked to explain his statement.
“Mabait si Revilla,” Luy said.
In a report by the Philippine Star (author Elizabeth Marcelo), the star witness said that the senator allowed the payment of his supposed kickbacks from the pork barrel on an installment basis.
“Pinapayagan po kasi kami na magbayad ng installment,” he explained.
Luy also mentioned that other legislators demanded that he should give full payment of their kickbacks.
As reported by ABS-CBN News (author Adrian Ayalin), Luy explained that he used to communicate with Revilla only through his former staff member, Richard Cambe.
“My level is only through Cambe,” he said.
In a previous report by KAMI, Revilla has expressed his support for making the age of Social Security System (SSS) be turned 55 instead of 66 years old.
Bong Revilla has made his comeback as a senator during the May 2019 polls. Last year, he was acquitted following his graft case involving the alleged P224.5 million worth of kickbacks he received.
