Many people use hair products like gel, wax, and hairspray to style their hair or follow the trend.
KAMI learned that a health expert warned about too much use of hair products.
In ABS-CBN’s Salamat Dok, dermatologist Dr. Pearl Weena Marie Sabido said that some products could contain chemicals that might cause an allergic reaction to one’s body.
"Mayroong nilalagay sa hair na may epekto yan: either allergy or irritation, lalo na pag masyadong nag-dry out o naging brittle 'yung hair. Because some hair products can be a little bit drying," she explained.
“These waxes, gels, and pomades, they most likely contain preservatives stabilizers, sometimes colorant. You can develop allergy on these ingredients,” she added.
