Carlos Celdran, a well-known activist and performance artist in the Philippines, passed away at the age of 46.
His wife, Tesa, shared that he died of natural causes, as reported by Rappler.

Last year, the Supreme Court upheld the verdict that he is guilty of “offending religious feelings” after he disrupted a religious service at the Manila Cathedral in 2010 while dressed up as Philippine national hero Jose Rizal and holding up a sign that said “Damaso.”
The guilty verdict means that he had to be imprisoned for a minimum of 2 months and 21 days and a maximum of 1 year, 1 month, and 11 days. He made an appeal but the guilty verdict was upheld, as mentioned earlier.
Carlos Cedran is also a vocal critic of President Rodrigo Duterte.
