Melissa Ricks clapped back at an Instagram troll who made remarks about her weight and being a single mom. She shared screenshots of how she defended herself against one Instagram user.

The commenter said, “Ani ngyari sayo? Ang taba mo na. Ang laki ng braso mo girl mukha ka ng tita. Ilan na ba anak mo at ganyan na ung katawan mo.”

Melissa replied, “If mukha akong (I look like a) tita is that a problem?”

She added that she hoped that the Instagram user had none because the person had “no manners and no respect” and was a “bad example.”

Melissa's followers defended her. However, the commenter called them plastic. She added that some other celebrities maintained their figure despite having a child, “ung iba nga kahit isa lang ung anak nila d nila pinapabayaan sarili nila.”

Through her Instagram Stories, Melissa replied, “Pinabayaan ang sarili (let go of themselves)? Can some explain to me why this is the way of thinking when someone gains weight?”

Ricks also expressed her thoughts about mom-shaming, “Mom shaming is not OK. Kesa ganyan ang attitude mo towards other women, sana mas nagiging positive at encouraging ka towards others.”

“Looks fade but who u are, will always be there,” she added.

As previously reported, Melissa opened up about her struggles after giving birth and becoming a single mom.

Melissa Ricks was born on January 9, 1990, as Melissa Marie Ricks. She is an actress, known for Walang hanggan (2012), Nasaan ka, Elisa? (2011) and Kambal sa Uma (2009).
