A video circulating online claimed that there was a CCTV footage of the buy-bust operation including rapper Loonie.
However, KAMI learned that this video was misleading.
In a report by French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), a 21-second video gained almost 300,000 views since it was posted on September 19, 2019.
The video title read: “CCTV: LOONIE BUY-BUST OPERATION - SEPTEMBER 18, 2019.”

According to AFP, the claim was false. The video actually showed an alleged drunk driver who crashed his car at a car park in 2016.
The clip was part of a YouTube video with the title “garaz.” It was published on September 22, 2016.
The video was also embedded in a report published on September 23, 2016 by Warszawa Naszemiasto.
“The drunk man has been caught by cameras in a building located on Wlodarzewska 87 B street. The video has been released a few days after the incident,” it read in the report.
In a previous report by KAMI, a video of Loonie’s arrest has been circulating in the online world. The video showed the police and Loonie defending himself against his alleged drug use.
Loonie is one of the most popular rappers in the Philippines nowadays. He also became popular for joining FlipTop battles in the country.
