Mariel Padilla, who is pregnant with her second child, shared on her recent YouTube vlog that her doctor told her to eat more protein since the growth of the baby in her womb was below normal.

According to the celebrity mom, her strategy to eat more steak has worked since the baby is now approximately 4.5 lbs.

“I had an ultrasound today. I saw Gabriela, she is beautiful!!! If you watched my latest vlog (link is on my bio) you would know that my OB asked me to go on a high protein diet because Gabriela wasn’t growing so much (pescatarian for 8 months) and today she weighs approximately 4.5lbs yaaaay!!! The steak worked!!!
“Haha i am so happy and so relieved. Thank you God!!! Another update is her head is now down getting ready for delivery. Pls pray with me I really want to push for another vaginal birth. Enjoying the last stretch of my pregnancy,” Mariel posted on Instagram.

Mariel Padilla tied the knot with Robin Padilla on Aug. 19, 2010. The actress-host gave birth to Isabella on Nov. 14, 2016. She delivered the baby in Delaware, USA. Mariel announced her second pregnancy on Mother’s Day 2019.
