A Hotel Sogo branch in Malate, Manila collapsed on Monday morning.
KAMI learned that some individuals were reported hurt due to the incident.
In a report by the Inquirer (author Faye Orellana), Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has already checked the situation along with MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia.
According to the Philippine Star, the hotel partially collapsed while undergoing a demolition. Some construction workers were reported injured and some were trapped inside the establishment.
In a tweet by the ABS-CBN News, Moreno said that he was able to see a customer when he checked the collapsed establishment.

The mayor also ordered the closure of the hotel after he found out that they were still accepting customers despite the collapse.
As previously reported by KAMI, Moreno was spotted enjoying “pares” for his lunch.
