The hit teleserye of Maja Salvador entitled “Wildflower” is poised to receive an international award after getting nominated as Best Asian Series.

KAMI learned that the said drama series gets a nomination at the first-ever Asia Contents Awards, which will take place in Busan, South Korea.

Organized by Busan International Film Festival and Asian Film Market, the event aims to give recognition to the finest television dramas in the whole Asian region.

The revenge-drama series is the only nominee from the Philippines, and it is looking to add another feather to its cap come awarding ceremony on October 6.

It will not be an easy task for the Maja-led teleserye as it will go against several award-winning series from South Korea, China, Japan, Hong Kong, and other Asian countries.

“Wildflower” is a Filipino series that aired on television from February 13, 2017 to February 9, 2018. It is currently being shown in several countries including New Caledonia and Polynesia.
