Alden Richards has a new drama series in the Kapuso network that officially premiered on television on Monday, September 16.
KAMI learned that the prominent actor is now at the helm of the teleserye entitled “The Gift,” following his box office success for the movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

A lot of people expected that the new GMA-7 series will match or even surpass the ratings of “The General’s Daughter” starring Angel Locsin.
Amid the hype, an audience measurement firm called Kantar Media released the ratings of the two drama series on their first clash.
The new teleserye of Alden was only able to receive 15.7 percent television ratings for its pilot episode on Monday.
Meanwhile, the “The General’s Daughter” accumulated 32.2 percent rating on that day, and it was more than half of how its rival fared for TV viewers.
