- The ABS-CBN Ball, which was originally known as the Star Magic Ball is a highly anticipated formal affair every year at the Kapamilya network
- Celebrities' glamorous looks with couture gowns and suits had been anticipated by fans
- This ball is a charity event for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163
The most awaited glamorous events in local showbiz to benefit Bantay Bata is happening on Saturday.
In recent years, it's become known for celebrities serving major looks with couture gowns and suits worn with perfectly styled hair and make-up.
A post of the Facebook Page The Scoop showing snaps taken at the first-ever Star Magic Ball in 2007 elicited mixed reactions. It looked more like a JS Prom than a celebrity red carpet according to some netizens.
Obviously, the ABS-CBN Ball – and the celebrities that attend it - have gone through changes since then – and this year's new Filipiniana theme makes the whole affair even more exciting.
