- A heavy issue transpired on “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” stage
- It started after a contestant received a very low score from the judges
- The “resbaker” finally aired her side regarding the controversy
Mariane Osabel, the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” wild card contestant who received a low score from the judges, finally aired her side regarding the much-talked-about issue.
KAMI learned that many people in the online world were not happy with the score given to the said “resbaker” after she sang "Run To You” by Whitney Houston.
The contender from Mindanao actually received a higher percentage of public votes, but it was her hurados’ score that caused her defeat at the end of the round.
She only got 16.5 percent from the judges, while her opponent Mariko Ledesma received 50 percent during their recent face-off.
The hurados, which were headed by Louie Ocampo during that episode, received massive criticisms on social media because of the trending controversy.

The amateur singer also told her supporters to cheer up because she will never stop pursuing her dream of becoming a professional singer someday.
"I don’t know where to start but I can only say how thankful and blessed I am. I know a lot of you are confused and frustrated, so am I. But don’t worry kasi hindi ako magpapaapekto and that wont stop reaching for my goal!
“Kung hindi para sa akin, kahit ano pang gawin ko, tumambling man o lumuhod, di talaga yan akin. But anyways, I can never say thank you enough…
“Cheer up na tayo guys. This is only the beginning. I will never stop. Makakalimutan man natin ang mga pangyayari, but He is always watching,” Mariane quipped.
