- Senator Bong Go gave his suggestion for the next head of the Bureau of Corrections
- Go said that the official should be a “killer”
- He also said that he already has a person in mind that would qualify for the position
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go has given his recommendation for the next head of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
KAMI learned that Sen. Go suggests that the next chief of BuCor should be a “killer.”
In a report by the GMA News Online (author Amita Legaspi), Go explained that President Rodrigo Duterte is “exasperated” over the controversy the BuCor has been facing due to the good conduct time allowance (GCTA).
“Gusto n’yong malaman kung sino ang gusto kong i-recommend sa loob ng BuCor? Killer,” Go said.
“Exasperated na po ang Pangulo dito sa BuCor na ito. Naghahanap siya ng mamumuno ng BuCor, maaring naghahanap siya ng dating militar, dating pulis o retired,” he added.

Go also mentioned that he already has someone in mind that would qualify as the next BuCor head.
“Basta killer. Ang mamuno ng BuCor dapat killer. Meron na akong person in mind. Former military o former pulis basta killer. Basta qualified siyang i-appoint. Basta killer,” Go stated.
In a previous report by KAMI, President Duterte fired Nicanor Faeldon as the head of BuCor following the release of inmates convicted with heinous crimes.
Born on June 14, 1974, Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Tesoro Go became known as the long-time aid of President Duterte. He also served as the Special Assistant to the President from 2016 to 2108.
