The management of Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) has announced a suspension on its operations from North Avenue to Taft Avenue stations on Friday.

KAMI learned that a cable of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) at the Guadalupe Station North-bound was cut.

In a report by GMA News Online, the management said that the repair is ongoing. They will also start its investigation on how the cable was cut.

Some of the passengers almost cried because of the terrifying incident that happened while they were inside the train. One of the passengers claimed that they were not allowed to immediately escape the train because of the lying high-voltage wire.

Meralco also clarified in an interview with Dobol B sa News TV that there had been no insufficient power supply.

"Internal ang problema nila (MRT3), wala ho tayong kinalaman doon. Yung supply ng kuryente from Meralco to the MRT is all okay and stable," Meralco spokesperson Joe Zaldarriaga said.
