In its quest to give justice to Eddie Garcia, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has found out that GMA-7 committed 3 violations that led to the actor’s tragic death.
KAMI learned that Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III tasked the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) to investigate the painful death of the award-winning artist.
It can be remembered that on June 8 this year, Eddie accidentally tripped on a cable wire while filming a fight scene for his teleserye in the Kapuso network.
The former “Ang Probinsyano” antagonist went under critical condition after it was found out that he fractured his neck when he collapsed on the ground.

On Wednesday, during the hearing of the House Appropriations committee, Sarah Buena Mirasol, the director of DOLE National Capital Region, gave an update about the probe.
According to her, GMA-7 and its contractors failed to ensure that there was a safety officer during the taping and they were also unable to provide a first aid responder on the set.
The Labor Department also found out that the giant broadcast network failed to submit an incident report within 24 hours of the tragic accident.
The meeting of DOLE and GMA-7 regarding the investigation will happen on September 16, as reported by the Philippine Star (authored by Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo).
