Jake Zyrus gave a straightforward statement when he was asked about Gretchen Diez, a transgender woman who was prevented from using the female restroom.
He said that he used to think that way before too. However, as he matures he realized that everyone has different beliefs.
"I used to think that way, pipilitin ko 'yung sarili ko to go to the male's restroom but the more that I grow older, the more I realized na not everyone thinks the same, not everyone believes in the same beliefs that you believe."
"So nagsi-CR ako sa kung saan ako dapat mag-CR, so kung ano po ‘yung naiisip niyo, doon ako nagsi-CR. I simply follow the law, I respect the law.”
