Tito Sotto, Senate President of the Philippines, has commented once again about the plea of transgender Filipinos about equal rights.

According to Rappler (authored by Aika Rey), the senator explained that a transgender woman does not have ovaries and cannot get pregnant.

"I hate to say this but I have to. If you are a man, you will never be a woman. No matter what you do because you cannot reproduce; you cannot give birth; you do not have ovaries; you will never be a woman…
"'Wag 'nyo ikumpara yung entirety of the half of the world to a certain group…. Women cannot be compared to a group,” Sotto said.
KAMI reported earlier that the Supreme Court has junked the plea for same-sex marriage in the Philippines.
Tito Sotto, whose full name is Vicente Castelo Sotto III, is the incumbent Senate President of the Philippines. He started out as a comedian, hosting the longest-running noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga” with Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.
