DepEd, 1999 pa ipinagbawal magdala ng gadgets ang elementary at HS students

- Noong pa lamang 1999, ipinagbawal na ang pagdadala ng mga cellphones na elementary at high school students sa bansa

- Maging ang 'pager' na mas uso pa nang panahong iyon ay kasama rin sa DepEd order na ito

- Pinagbawal ito sa dami ng peligrong maari nitong idulot sa mga batang madalas na agad gumamit nito

Bago pa mang umusbong ang panahon ng 'internet' ipinagbawal na ng Department of Education ang pagdadala ng cellphones ng mga elementary at high school students.

Ayon sa Inquirer libre, napapaloob ito sa DepEd Order 83 series of 2003 na: “Prohibiting Students of Elementary and Secondary Schools from Using Cellular Phones and Pagers During Class Hours.”

Mas lalo na sa panahon ngayon kung saan smartphones na ang kanilang mga telepono na mabilis na maka-konekta sa internet.

Madali na silang ma-expose sa mga bagay na di nararapat para sa kanilang edad.
