Rape-slay convict Antonio Sanchez’s wife, Elvira Sanchez, claimed in a recent Senate hearing that her wife is innocent.
KAMI learned that she also refused to pay P12,671,900 in damages to families of the two victims – Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez.

"Laging paulit-ulit namin sinasabi bakit kami magbabayad wala naman pong kasalanan ang aking asawa?
"Wala po talaga kaming intensiyon," Mrs. Sanchez said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
In a previous report by KAMI, a BPP official revealed that Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo referred to him the letter of request for Sanchez’s clemency.
Salvador Panelo served as legal counsel in 1995 for Antonio Sanchez, who was convicted of raping and killing UP Los Baños student Eileen Sarmenta and of murdering her boyfriend Allan Gomez.
