Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson were accused online of developing a secret relationship while working on the movie “Between Maybes,” directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.
KAMI learned that Laxamana finally broke his silence on the controversy.
In an interview with PUSH (authored by Leo Bukas), the director said that he did not notice whether there was something real developing between Julia and Gerald while filming the movie.
However, what he knows is that the two actors are “kind human beings” and that he would not judge them based on the controversy.

“Well, nung nasa Japan ako I’m too busy kasi sobrang limited ng time namin. I’m too busy to even notice kung anuman ang posibleng meron, pero ayun, hindi ako yung magandang source niyan kasi busy talaga ako sa pag-iisip ng shots, pag-i-schedule ng mga eksena…
“But we’re all good kasi they’re very kind people. They’re very kind human beings and I love them for that… If everyone you know is comfortable with it, why not? Kasi ako, never ko naman silang jinudge for anything and even if, theoretical lang, even if meron silang naging pagkakamali, hindi naman ako dapat magalit sa kanila kasi wala naman silang ginawang masama sa akin,” Laxamana told PUSH.
KAMI reported earlier that Julia posted an emotional message for her mother, Marjorie Barretto.
Julia Barretto is one of the most successful young actresses in the Philippines today. Her parents are veteran celebrities Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla. She became a big star when her love team with Joshua Garcia hit it big with the audience.
