Kapuso actor Alden Richards added another feather to his cap as he was given a prestigious honor at the 14th Seoul International Drama Awards on Wednesday.
KAMI learned that the “Hello, Love, Goodbye” star received the Asian Star Prize during the much-talked-about ceremony at Grand Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea.
The award of the Pinoy celebrity came just after the massive success of his film with Kathryn Bernardo, which is now edging closer to becoming the highest grossing Filipino movie of all time.

It was the Seoul Drama Awards Committee and the Korean Broadcasters Association that gave the award, recognizing the excellence of Alden in drama productions.
In his speech, the 27-year-old actor emphasized that he is a Filipino and it is a great feeling for him to be recognized in the international arena.
He also quipped that it is the role of actors to bring happiness and entertainment to a lot of people and to inspire them with their love for the field.
“It’s such an honor to receive this award,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Being a Filipino, I am humbled and grateful to be recognized in the international scene, along with so many amazing and talented artists here,” he stated.
“As actors, it is always our hope to make more people happy and inspire them with our passion,” he added.

Alden Richards is a prominent showbiz personality in the Philippines. In 2018, he received his first international award at the New York Festivals.
