- Former Mayor Antonio Sanchez has commented over the recent allegations thrown against him
- He has broken his silence over the claim that he was a “changed man”
- Sanchez also appealed to the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte
Convicted former Calauan Mayor Antonio Sanchez has broken his silence over the controversies he recently got involved in.
KAMI learned that Sanchez insisted that he will not say sorry to the family of students Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez who were involved in his case.
In an interview with GMA News, Sanchez maintained his innocence and said that he was not involved with the killing of Sarmenta and Gomez.
“Anong iso-sorry ko sa kanila? Diyos ko, maski ako’y makulong sa sinasabi nilang apatnapu, ay sige na. Wala akong iso-sorry sa kanila,” he said.
“Kaya lang naman nila ako naging fall guy at sa aking bayan nila tinapon, e,” Sanchez added.

Sanchez also denied the claims of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa that he has been cross-dressing and using make-up.
“Edi sana nakita mong naka-palda ako at saka lipstick. Bakit naman ako magpapalda eh lalaking lalaki (ako)? Asawa ko naman ay dadating ‘pag stay-in,” Sanchez said.
The former mayor also commented over the photo circulating on social media that he has been out of jail earlier. He said that the photo was taken at a hospital where he was brought to check his kidney.
Sanchez also appealed to the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to stop his early release.
“Basta ako, ipinapaabot ko lang kay Presidente na ako, nakakatulong at makakatulong sa administrasyon niya pagdating sa droga,” Sanchez said.
In a previous report by KAMI, Sen. Bong Go said that President Duterte ordered the Bureau of Corrections to stop the supposed early release of Sanchez.
Sanchez was convicted in 1995 over the slaying of students Eileen Sarmenta and Allan Gomez in 1993. The former mayor was given a jail time of 40 years.
