The mother of Gerald Anderson finally broke her silence amid the controversy surrounding her son and two Kapamilya actresses, Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto.

During an interview with TV Patrol South Central Mindanao on August 23, 2019, Mommy Vangie told Julia not to fall in love with her son.
Aside from the age gap, she also said that their relationship won't last since both of them are from the entertainment industry.
"Hindi ko nga sinasabing ayaw kita, no...
"Ang akin lang, advise ko lang sayo, please, ayaw ko kasi, may edad na rin si Gerald sayo.
"Hindi rin kayo magtagal dahil alam ko nasa industriya ka rin."
