Comelec’s Guanzon dares and airs strong words against Cardema

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon has aired strong words against Duterte Youth party-list nominee Ronald Cardema as she justifies her decision over his disqualification case.
KAMI learned that Guanzon has also challenged Cardema to pursue the impeachment complaint he dared to file against the Comelec commissioner.
In an interview by Atom Araullo on Stand for Truth, Guanzon has also answered the bribery case involving Cardema and a congresswoman.
"First sinabi nya, nag-usap daw sila nung isang congresswoman na bibigay sya ng P2 million tapos, dinisqualify ko pa rin sya. Ngayon naman sa Unang Hirit sinabi nya nagbigay talaga sya ng P2 million pero dinisqulaify ko pa rin sya, ano ba talaga . . . just attempting to bribe a commissioner is a very grave offense,” Guanzon said.
“So, if that is his basis for an impeachment complaint, good luck," she added.
The Comelec Commissioner also emphasized that Cardema was disqualified as a representative of a youth part-list because of his age.
“May youth ba na 34 years old, eh sa party-list act 25-30 (years old ) lang, baka dugyot, hindi youth, dugyot ka na, hindi ka na youth Cardema. Kaya tumigil ka na!” the Commissioner said.

Guanzon has also threatened to file many cases against Cardema until he is “bankrupt.”
She also said that she bought a new gun to protect her family.
"I bought a new gun because of this,” Guanzon stated.
"If you harm my family, I'm quite capable of killing somebody, hindi naman kami criminal, pero matagal na kami sa politika," she added.
The Commissioner also commented over the idea of reconciling with Cardema.
"Ba't kami magbabati? I don't even know him. 'Wag sya magpakita sa akin, baka suntukin ko sya," she said.

In a previous report by KAMI, Cardema sought for the help of President Rodrigo Duterte amidst his word war with Guanzon.
However, the Palace rejected the request of Cardema and said it will not meddle in an issue not involving the President.
